Are your labels permanent?
Our custom sticker labels are ultra-durable. When applied to plastic, wood or metal, they can be removed if needed. On paper, however, you may tear the paper when trying to remove the label.
Are your labels waterproof?
Absolutely! All our labels are waterproof, making them ideal for identifying school supplies and dishwasher-safe plastic containers. They're washable and UV-resistant.
What's the difference between multi-purpose labels and iron-on labels?
The multi-purpose labels in this product (... they stick to everything!) withstand laundering, dishwashing, microwaving and the friction of feet against the inside of shoes! To use these labels to identify clothing, simply apply them onto the care label (the silky-feeling one). Note that they should never be stuck directly onto fabric, as they won't hold.
The iron-on clothing labels (not included in this set) are designed for fabric only. They can be applied anywhere on clothing but aren't recommended for smooth surfaces like plastic, glass or paper.
Does the labels leave an adhesive residue when removed from a rigid object?
Yes, on plastic or metal, the adhesive comes off quite easily. If the label was just applied, you can remove it without leaving any residue. If it's been in place for a long time, a slight residue may remain: in that case, gently rub with a little lighter fluid (it's the most effective solution we've found!). On cardboard or paper, some fibres may tear when removing the label.Our custom name labels are designed to withstand the dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. To get the best possible adhesion, please follow these instructions exactly.
OBJECTS:
- Press firmly to secure the sticker. There should be no air bubbles between the sticker and the surface.
- Wait 24 hours before exposing the sticker to water or high heat (such as in the dishwasher or microwave).
CLOTHING:
- Wash and dry the garment beforehand without using liquid fabric softener.
- The name label should be stuck onto the garment's care label (the silky-feeling one). Be sure to use an appropriate label size (the small rectangles work best!)
- Press firmly to secure the sticker. There should be no air bubbles between the sticker and the surface.
- Wait at least 24 hours before washing. Never stick the label directly onto the fabric of the garment. If your labels aren't adhering well, make sure you've followed the instructions properly.
