What is the difference between stick-on clothing labels and traditional Colle à moi self-adhesive labels?

Stick-on clothing labels are designed to stick directly onto fabric and offer the best resistance to washing and drying.
Traditional self-adhesive labels (multipurpose labels) can also be used for clothing, but they must be applied to the garment’s care tag (the silky tag with washing instructions). These are also the ones used for identifying personal items.
Are your labels permanent?
Stick-on clothing labels are permanent. The self-adhesive label, that is applied to the care tag label or on personal items, can be easily removed if necessary.
Can I use the self-adhesive labels on objects?
Of course, you can! Our self-adhesive labels can also be applied to clothing's care tag label, but also to any object you would like to identify. Make sure that its surface is clean and smooth before applying the sticker.
Are your labels waterproof?
All of our labels are waterproof. They are washable and UV resistant. Our self-adhesive labels (included in this package) are dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Use them on a wide variety of items: shoes and clothes, canes, glasses, books, electronics, and other personal belongings.
Our labels are designed to be tougher than children. They even resist to foot rubbing inside their shoes! To maximize their adhesion, application must be done according to instructions!
Before labeling your objects, wash the surface or fabric (without using liquid fabric softener). Wait 12 to 24 hours after application exposing label to water or washing the identified garment.
STICK-ON CLOTHING LABELS
- Place the label on a visible spot on the garment.
- Press firmly to remove any air bubbles and ensure the edges are well stuck.
- Wait 24 hours before washing the garment.
Important! These labels are not suitable for:
- Rough-textured fabrics, such as denim and loosely woven wool.
- Fabrics that have been chemically treated.
In these cases, apply the self-adhesive fabric label onto the garment’s care label (the one that feels like silk), following steps 2 and 3.
SELF-ADHESIVE LABELS
- The label must be applied to the care tag label (the one that looks like silk). Make sure to use the appropriate label size (the label must not overflow or be folded).
- Apply the label with good pressure to eliminate any air bubbles between the label and the material.
- Wait a minimum of 24 hours before putting in the washer. Never apply the sticker directly to the fabric. Our labels only fit on the care tag label. If your labels do not stick well, make sure you have followed the instructions.
- If your garment does not have a care tag label, use our iron-on labels.
- Press down firmly to secure the label. There should be no air bubbles between the label and the material.
- Wait at least 24 hours before putting the sticker underwater or exposing it to high temperatures (like in the dishwasher or microwave).
