What's the difference between self-adhesive personnalized clothing labels and iron-on fabric clothing labels?

We offer two types of laundry resistant clothing name labels for kids in this package: iron-on and self-adhesive labels. For your garments that have a care tag label, use the self-adhesive labels. They stick directly onto the care tag label of the garments (the one that has a silk-like texture) and do not require ironing or sewing. Note that they cannot be used directly on the fabric.

For items that do not have care labels (e.g. socks, towels, unlabeled sweaters, etc.), we recommend using an iron-on personalized clothing label, which is designed to adhere directly to most iron-on fabrics. They are permanent, but not impossible to remove if needed.

Are your labels permanent?

Iron-on labels are permanent when applied with a clothing iron. The self-adhesive label, that is applied to the care tag label, can be easily removed if necessary.

Can I use the self-adhesive labels on objects?

Of course, you can! Our self-adhesive labels can also be applied to clothing's care tag label, but also to any object you would like to identify. Make sure that its surface is clean and smooth before applying the sticker.

Are your labels waterproof?

All of our labels are waterproof. They are washable and UV resistant. Our self-adhesive labels (included in this package) are dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Use them on a wide variety of items: shoes and clothes, canes, glasses, books, electronics, and other personal belongings.

Instructions

Our labels are designed to be tougher than children. They even resist to foot rubbing inside their shoes! To maximize their adhesion, application must be done according to instructions!
Before labeling your objects, wash the surface or fabric (without using liquid fabric softener). Wait 12 to 24 hours after application exposing label to water or washing the identified garment.

IRON-ON TEXTILE LABELS

Preheat the iron on the cotton cycle, without steam.
Remove the personalized textile label from the label page and place it flat on the dry garment.
Cover the personalized textile label with the parchment paper provided.
Firmly press the iron directly on the parchment paper for 10 seconds.
If needed, apply the iron again for a few seconds.

Important: iron-on textile labels are not suitable for:

Fabrics that are very textured (wool, canvas, fur)
Care tag labels (those that look like silk)

SELF-ADHESIVE LABELS

The label must be applied to the care tag label (the one that looks like silk). Make sure to use the appropriate label size (the label must not overflow or be folded).
Apply the label with good pressure to eliminate any air bubbles between the label and the material.
Wait a minimum of 24 hours before putting in the washer. Never apply the sticker directly to the fabric. Our labels only fit on the care tag label. If your labels do not stick well, make sure you have followed the instructions.
If your garment does not have a care tag label, use our iron-on labels.
